In order to be 100% certain on the fatger, you would have to keep the hens separated from all males besides the desired one for over 3 weeks.
Exactly. I had to do this to be sure I'm getting 100% pure silkies. Out of my silkies, 2 Mixes, & 1 Satin came out of it, while the rest were all silkie.
 
So you're using Artificial Insemination instead of natural breeding? How many years will you think this project will take you to complete?

My Giant Silkies will have themselves a good Meaty Build, Good Egg Production, Broodiness, & Attractive Silkie Features.
Wait what? You can do AI on a chicken? How would you do that on a chickens? :eek:
