I’d say any of these roosters (bolded text) would be capable of producing a chick with partridge down.

My silkies are Lavender Split, so any chick produced by my Porcelain D'uccle have been lavender.

Chick was Gold Partridge.

The Phoenix/OEGB produced a Blue Cuckoo.

I have a couple really huge Brahma hens. They're about 9-10lbs. One is smaller, about 7-8 pounds.

So I'd say 2 Giants, & 1 standard sized.

Lav+/lav x lav/lav (did I write those correctly?) would produce 50% lavender and 50% non-lavender. It doesn’t matter what has already been produced. It’s a possibility that not all your silkies carry lavender, either.
I don’t have much experience with silkies, but from what I’ve seen of threads asking about what color silkies they have, it can be hard to tell the difference between partridge, silver partridge, and blue partridge. I could be wrong, though.
The blue rooster doesn’t have two copies of the barring/cuckoo gene, so he won’t produce all cuckoo offspring. As he’s a mix and you aren’t 100% sure on his parentage, it’s hard to be certain of what genes he could have. He could have duckwing or partridge genetics which could be passed on to his chicks.

That's why I mentioned in a previous post the silkie hen must be carrying the barring gene.

I'm gonna be repeating the breeding to see if I can replicate the Satin with my Pure Silkies.


So far all my chicks from the Porcelain D'uccle X Silkie cross has been lavender. I would be a total of 6 now. 4 of which were dead in the shell.

One before this breeding.

I believe she's turning 2 this year.
