Cochin, I'm trying to buy two, but from differnt places. I don't want two from the same herd especially. I know goats are very social. I found another one that isn't in milk, and they lady near me has some in milk. So, one from each, perfect.

Well they are cute, but I think I wouldn't keep them unless I had a use for them.

True. I'll stick to waterfowl for now. They have a GORGEOUS Mandarin drake for sale today on craigslist

And you aren't the new owner? I think mandarins are very cute, and they have them at the zoo 20 blocks from my house (right next to DH's house where we used to leave....the peacock yard). I love them, but they don't lay much, and are touch to hatch I hear. I might have to get some. I will have french white muscoveys come wednesday morning.

I wish! I just don't have the time to set up a aviary for them since they can't be with domestics. If they could I would snatch up a few of them and teals. The white scovies are stunning! They are one of my favorite colors.

Kev - you should TOTALLY get one!!! 2 Nigerian Dwarves only need about 1/2 an acre, a house, and a hay feeder plus minereals, and you can keep them!!! They are very sweet.... Plus, you can sell the milk or make cheese and soaps and make a profit :]
