Glad I don't free range.

My wife called me up from the basement a bit ago because a young eagle sitting in a tree watching the chickens in the run. The girls did hide under the coop and then the eagle flew away.

Wow lucky they aren’t free ranging! And it’s the reason I also don’t free range - they go out in the field when I am around to sit and watch them. Saturday morning the Ravens were harassing a big hawk that was circling my vet my run. Too many predators out there!

Ditto on that! Hawks, eagles, feral cats, raccoons, skunks, possums, and my dog or the neighbor's dog would take them out if they weren't leashed.
