We currently have a flock of twenty. The two oldest birds are from spring of 2023. The rest are from March of 2024 and March of 2025. We have one rooster, a Black Australorp, and the hens are a blend of Buff Orpingtons, Barred Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, one little BYM mutt that I adore, and one Saphire Gem. I’ve been a chicken keeper since March of 2024. My girlfriend has kept chickens longer. I can’t believe I waited this long to get into it, it’s the best thing in my life.
