"Well," said Patricia, "I would like to help but I have other patients and there's more animals coming in here every day. Most of which I'm tasked with caring for. I just don't know if I have the time or even the skills to devote to...Brent." She nearly chuckled at the name.(Ava only said what was spoken out loud and the actions she saw the others doing.)
Ava nodded simply. "I understand. Though do keep in mind I have many other patients as well. Brent is just an interesting case, and with wolves endangered in some areas, we're trying to figure out how to get him back into the wild safely." Ava rubbed her eyes. She'd had to stay at the center last night for much longer than usual to take care of and check up on the other animals she hadn't taken care of in the day because of Brent. Then again, Patricia had about 2 times the more animals to take care of than her. "How about I help you with your patients, and you can help us with Brent? You could also teach me a little more about taking care of birds...the last one I took care of died." Ava sighed miserably
There was something about this woman that made it hard to refuse her, "Well alright," she said, "I could check in on him at least today, though I don't know much about prosthetics and this wolf doesn't know me, he was knocked out when we all arived...." an idea popped into Patricia's head, "How about you contact Keith? He was the vet who originally cared for this wolf. He runs his own private practice, treating wild animals in zoos and other wild-life rehablititation centers, but can't be overwhelmed like we are even so. See if he'll take up Brent's case long term. If not I can help as much as I can."
Ava nodded. "Great idea. I'll call him in a bit. What about that other person? Rosa, was it? No, that's not right..."
"Yes, his number is on the vet call list up at the main desk. But what other person?" asked Patricia, (Rose had already stormed out of the room before Ava, Thomas, and Patrica arrived, nearly forgot that myself but I corrected myself lol, could Ava have found out about Rose another way??)
"I was in the hallway when she came out of the room where Bert was. Someone said her name...I think it was Rose! Do you know where she is?" Ava asked. "I think she was new, but I'm not sure. I'd only seen her once or twice before."
"No idea," said Patricia, "No woman named Rose works here that I know of. Maybe Keith would know who she was? But she's probably not important, seeing as she left before the surgery began. She may have just been there to transport the wolf to the room, or maybe a visitor of some kind."
Ava nodded. "Makes sense. I'm going to go call Keith. Be right back." Ava picked up her phone and walked over to the main desk, carefully dialing Keith's number.
(What time of day is it in the rp right now? That will determine what Keith is doing when his phone rings, or if he even has his phone with him/turned on)
