Glutton for pinishment, or just dim?

Hamsters are evil incarnate...hate them...

They also have two uteruses, so they can pop out a buncha babies and have more a few weeks later...

The only good hamster are the Black Euros. The Dwarfs are the most evil.

*Just don't get any gerbils-- I think they're born pregnant, like Tribbles! Started with three and had 18 in like, a week it seemed! ~

LOL d.k.
I had that experience with Black Mollies. On Thursday I had four. On Tuesday I had 41.

I really want an aussie or heler, congrats

im just woring about them trying to herd the chickens and getting "rough" with them "possibly death of a chicken" ?

Ohhh! He is beautiful!!! I had an australian shepherd growing up with very similar coloring, but no tan. I, in my childhood wonder, named him Muffin because he looked like a blueberry muffin.

*Hamsters have on distinct advantage. You can tell males from females a lot earlier & easier than w/gerbils! I've had both and I'd take hamsters again anyday. . . Oh, 2 advantages-- They usually are as hard to catch if they escape!!

Well.. Harry (that's what his name wound up being) is going to have to go back

I went and got him yesterday, took him to Feeders for a bath, everything fine. Get him home, the dogs are all playing. Last night, he's up on the couch and I told him to get down. He didn't get down. Got a cookie thinking "Ok, we'll start on that command next." And he snapped at me. Then he snapped at me again. THEN he snapped at my roommate. :sigh: I can chalk that up to being nervous, or in a new place, but I can't have a snapping dog under any circumstances. I have two pushy kids. I was prepared for *something* to go wrong. I thought it would be cat chasing. I can't take the chance of him biting one of the kids though. The good news is that when I was picking him up, there was an Aussie rescue on the phone wanting to come get him. So he doesn't have to go live in the pound any more either way. I'm calling the shelter tomorrow to make them aware of what's going on and that i'll be bringing him back, also to have them call the rescue back to come get him. He's going to a loving house with an experienced rehabilitator who can work with him. I'm totally heartbroken though.. I wanted SO BAD for it to work out. He's absolutely beautiful and so sweet (and has the softest fur ever).. that snapping came out of nowhere. I can't take the chance on him doing it again.

Funny aside: I was in the shelter and I hear what sounds like a roo popping off. I asked if it was a rooster, and the lady says "Yep. We confiscated three from someone." They had a lovely BR roo, what looked like some sort of long tailed breed, and another lovely one with a tiny head and a big red body and green tail

I have no idea what either of them were, but they were just gorgeous.
