In or around the beginning, when they where going to the commercial poultry farms they stated that the Black material that was on the sides of the poultry barns was to keep people from seeing inside the barns.
That is untrue the material that is on the sides of the poultry barns is a "Black Out Netting" that allows for ventilation but blocks out up to 99% of all outside light.
By blocking out the out side light they can control the amount of feed that the birds inside eat by using a X amount of hours on X amount of lights off system. By controlling the amount of food a bird eats will regulate how fast or slow a bird grows.
One other is when they said the commercial poultry farms don't want people around there barns because they don't people seeing the conditions of the birds and there housing.
The reason the commercial poultry farms don't want people around there barns is bio-security.
Now I know that this is only two examples but I don't have the time or the will too sit down and re-watch that crock of lies show.

I don't disagree with that Chris, but I do have a problem that we have to control light to prevent to rapid a weight gain. I am all for growing feed for the masses, but I just don't agree with how it is done. I teach Bio-Security classes so I know that part is bull about blocking out the viewing public, but having masses of chickens raised in a darkened, un-naturally lighted barn, given antibiotics/supplements so they can "hopefully" make it to butcher weight is what I have a serious problem with. People don't need meat in their diets everymeal and we have become a society of that mentality. And believe me I LOVE MEAT! (Sorry my vegan friends) But I have a problem with blowing out beef/pork animals kidneys, creating deadly heart disease in these animals with the hope that they will make it to butcher, it has all become a race against time with these animals. I do speak from experience because I have raised meat on both sides of the coin. I don't agree with feedlot practices, and again, I speak from personal experiences.
I think people should educate themselves and be FREE to choose, not what the commercial industry wants us to believe. I think labeling should be improved and mandated.
For example, I had a friend who got sick from a piece of pork. After research it showed that the pork was not from the US and was not labled as such, it was purchased from a reputable grocery store. This is wrong. I also believe we americans need to take of we americans and not preach to other countries. We are too screwed up ourselves.
