What I do is convert pounds to grams, so she is about 800 grams. Most veterinary literature says to feed 3% of their weight per feeding, so the math is this:I'm glad you answered so quickly. I was wracking my head to try to convert 40 grams into a form of volume... My brain just doesn't work that way I'm afraid. Even with Google I couldn't figure it out. LOL. Thank you so much for your help.
I don't know how much her crop will hold. I guess I'll just go up slowly, a couple of ml. at a time and watch her carefully.
800 x 0.03 = 24 ml
Total crop volume is said to be 5%, so you should never try more than 5%
800 x 0.05 = 40 ml
