Goat Emergency! HELP PLEASE

We had to get a vet out to our house, after 5 on a friday evening, we were freaking out about how much it would cost us, he gave our goat a shot, and left another one to use in two days.... the cost $25.

We couldn't even get the answering service to pick up the phone for $25 at our vet's

livestock vets tend to be less expensive than regular vets. If you have goats or sheep, a livestock vet or two should be in your rolodex.

The price was honestly scaring me a bit because the vet out here (for dogs, cats, etc) wanted almost $400 for two of my dogs to get annual shots

You can go to tractor supply, purchase vaccines and vaccinate your own dogs except for Rabies. You can probably 2 dogs for less than 20 bucks.

I have also found that if you go to the vet for a rabies and tell them you don't want the office visit, they will just give your dog the rabies shot. Much cheaper. Last time a tech just came into the waiting room and injected them there.

Interesting. I just got them done at tractor supply with a traveling vet.. $25 each
