This is an open fantasy RP, so please feel free to just jump in and introduce your character in your first post.

The rules:

* Playable races: human, elf, dwarf, gnome, half-breed of any of preceding. If you have something else in mind, shoot me a PM and I will consider it, but don't be surprised if I say no.
* If the story is waiting on you for more than 3 days, I may take over your character until you return.
* If you don't post for over a week and don't let me know that you'll be back, your character may meet an un-timely demise.
* Have fun!

A young woman, clad all in greens and browns, kicked her mount, pushing for more speed out of the already tired and sweat soaked horse. It was too fast of a pace for the narrow, winding trail, but still she leaned forward, urging him faster and clenched the hilt of her sword tightly. The horse's breath came in heavy snorts as his hooves pounded the dirt.

"Grant this horse wings," she prayed to any deity that happened to be listening.

Behind, two other riders pursued; goblins mounted on large wolf-like creatures with long strides. The beasts maneuvered easily over the rough terrain, gaining on the girl while the goblins brandished their weapons and jeered at her.

Another two miles and she would reach the relative safety of the small settlement that she had been heading toward. But it was not to be. Two more of the goblins had been placed along the trail and as the rider drew close they sprung their trap. They pulled a rope taunt across the trail right in front of the horse. The girl's mount rocked back on it's haunches and tried to jump the obstacle, but didn't have enough room to clear it. The horse's front legs caught the rope and the animal crashed down, sending the girl vaulting over the horse's neck where she hit the ground hard.

Rolling quickly, she was back on her feet and raising her sword as the goblins and the wargs started to close in...

Tianea stood in a tree. Her brown eyes seemed to glow as she looked around the elven camp. She and many others had been chosen to hunt the goblins that had been terroizing her village. She brushed some of her brown hair out of her hair and sighed. She climbed down the tree and went to help unpack.

A light footed man skipped through the trees above the two goblin riders pursuing the girl. He had been following them for several miles, not wanting to reveal his presence unless absolutely necessary. The settlement ahead, he knew, was where she was headed, but the wolf-like creatures chasing the fleeing horse and rider were closing in quicker then the girl was reaching safety. The goblins were heavily armed and outnumbered them at least 3:1, but even though he knew that he could still escape, he was unwilling to leave her to be run over by a pack of vermin.

Focused on the pursuing goblins, the man didn't notice the ones waiting further up the trail until it was too late. He seen the rope thrown across, but was unable to do anything to stop the animal before it tripped. As the girl stood to face her attackers, he prepared himself to drop down from above should she prove unable to fend them off by herself. Which, given the odds, he expected.

The goblins whooped and cheered when the rider fell to the ground, already quite certain they would be victorious. The two warg riders shot toward her; the first leaping at her with fangs and claws bared. But the girl dove forward and rolled underneath the warg, her sword splitting the beast from chest to tail. The creature landed hard, tumbling head over heels and finally crushing its rider against a tree. Quickly, the girl rose back to her feet, but unfortunately not quickly enough and the second warg slammed into her, knocking her prone and her sword flew from her hand, disappearing into a large patch of ferns.

A younger elf with lighter brown hair and brown eyes left the camp. After walking fir a while she came across the rider. She climbed into and tree and grabbed her bow and a arrow. After taking careful aim she shot the second warg in the head causing the creatures to yelp in surpise and pain. It ran away from the woman it haf been after and collasped dead after a few steps.

The rider of the warg that had just been shot with the arrow jumped clear of his mount and rushed toward the girl that had been knocked prone. After being plowed over by the wolf-like creature, she was struggling to stand, her left leg bleeding heavily from the warg's razor sharp claws. The goblin, seeing his prey vulnerable and unarmed, was quick to take advantage and cracked the girl hard in the head with the hilt of his short sword. She fell limply back to the forest floor and lay still.

Meanwhile, the two goblins that had sprung the trap which tripped the woman's horse looked up to the trees where the arrow had come from and spotted the elf. "Git it! Git it!" one of screeched as they both rushed to knock arrows to short bows and send them flying toward the elf.

Zanis quickly aimed and shot more arrows. Hitting the two in their hearts while avoiding the arrows they were shooting. She looked at her quiver and saw she had no more arrows. She pulled a dagger from its hilt on her waist and jumped from the tree stabbing the third goblin in his heart.'

(Before you say 'Shes over powered. Her arrows and dagger have poison on them thats how she downs them quickly,)

(Poison aside, you still killed three of Frundette's characters in one post, all while taking absolutely no injury from the previous atttack. Generally, it is courteous to say your attack, and then let the other player decide the severety of their character's injury.)
