Going broody? Or just protective of egg?

Silly girl. Still on the roost tonight. I probably won't hatch any eggs this year. I might wait until I have more space in the coop, so it doesn't really matter anymore if she sticks to it or not. I was really excited, but the more I think about it, the more seems seems like I shouldn't do it.

Oh just let her hatch, if you don't let her hatch she may think that she is unable to hatch chicks and never go broody again.
Really? I have never heard that before! Many people break them early on and it causes no ill effects on them later on.

I am not saying you are wrong whatsoever. I just have never heard anyone say that before.

I'm still confused on this girl's behavior. She still sits in the nest all day fluffed up and screaming, but sleeps on the roost. Idk at this point. It could go any way.

It sure could maybe because its her first year she's acting like this.

Update on my hen I candled one of her eggs and it was fertile I could see the chick forming inside veins and everything.

Yea, I figured it's because she's so young.
Congrats! That's super exciting! I can't wait to see how it turns out!
