I'm thinking that if Leonard Maltin liked it I am definitely going to see it. he is not a Burton fan, but he really loved it.

So my husband, father, SIL and 5 yo old niece went to see it and it was really good. My husband didn't like it he said he expected something a little more dark from Burton. Depp was really good. I was really surprised my niece stayed interested in it, she was a little bored at the beginning then she really got into it.

DH and DSD ended up seeing it last night. Here is his review:

"You are so very happy that you didn't see Alice in Wonderland. For what it was, it was really very well done. It stayed quite true to to the book which I appreciated. That said, I could have skipped it (and I did doze thru part of it) and you would have really, truly, fully, and completely detested it.
