Going to Tractor Supply was a mistake

Well, I went to buy some food and oyster shells, and the peeping of chicks floated over to me. I was over there before I even realized. Debating, debating.... ah heck it, no one will care if you get a few, right? :oops:I ended up coming home with four chicks. A polish, a buff Orphington, a gold laced Wyandotte, and a bantam. No one can blame me, right? Now I have to deal with what my family will think about me getting more chickens... :jumpyView attachment 2040486View attachment 2040487View attachment 2040490View attachment 2040492
Ah the impulse buying of chicks, been there. Then I wake up the next morning kicking my self when I am reminded how much I hate raising them

I’m glad we don’t have TSC in the Netherlands. Here they only sell rabbits at the animal feed & supply shop. Rabbits I can resist. They are half the fun, don't make cute noises, and don't lay eggs.
Unfortunately my nursery has them so every time I need something for the garden, there they are... and they have them almost year round! Too tempting

TSC should just hang a sign "Beware of chicken math"
I’m going there tomorrow, but I refuse to come home with any peeping or quacking at this point of the year. It’s still wayyyy too cold and I have goat kids and two mini pigs due any day...so I will not give in at TS tomorrow!!:fl

Oh, but the babies sell like hot cakes!! I breed them...can’t even keep them for a few days after I list them! I have seven rabbits due this week, for Easter bunnies. Two already had kits. I’ll be raking it in...:fl:lau

Congratulations. I almost succumbed to the temptation, too. Whew...outta there fast!
