gold laced silkies?(UPDATED PICS PG4+9, plus pics of new 2nd hatch ??)

I hate to be the negative voice on this, but I don't think crossbeak chickens have a very good life. I had an EE hen like that once that I could not bear to cull. I fed her from a bowl twice a day, but she would still act extremely frantic when I came out to feed: like she was starving. She would fly up and attack the bowl in my hand. It was much worse than the normal excitement they all have over food.

That's just my 2 cents. They can be raised and live a pretty normal life. I just don't think I would do it again.

Thanks for all your replies, I will see how it goes, if it gets to the point of not being able to eat or drink properly I will consider culling,

The pics are of chick number 1, chick number 2 started to get cross beak at 2 days old, and sadly its rather sever, its still eating and doing fune, so I will see how it goes,

I'm fairly new to this too but I must agree with juliechick: they don't look like my silkie chick...he/she is very fluffy and the feathers don't look much like feathers: more like fluff on wings lol. Also your chicks look to only have 4 toes...silkies have 5. Who knows tho: may be the crossing bird the seller used to make the coloring coming out more strongly than the silkie...cute babies regardless.

Also my silkie has intense feathering down its legs...so much so that you can almost not see leg under it on the outside...
