- My 3 year old Golden Comet Lucy has a pale comb for the past four months. She is eating less but not starving. She molted heavily for the first time but has been finished molting for at least a month. She has dropped from top of the food chain to almost the bottom. I wormed her and the whole flock almost two months ago when she was almost finished molting just in case. Her comb used to be flopped over also but that got better after the molt was done. I don't think she had a worm issue because I have brought my girls to the vet before and none have had any parasites or worms. We do not have mites. I checked the coop at night with a white rag and have not found any mites or blood. None of the birds have any mites. She is running around looking normal but underweight with a pale comb. She has not laid an egg in at least 4 or 5 months. I have done vet rx a couple of times which makes her comb brighten up a bit until the oil dries up and then it pale again so it doesn't change anything. she is not having any trouble breathing other than the comb and being underweight she looks normal. I am at a loss. Any suggestions?
