I'm somewhat new to raising chickens and I noticed that this 11 weeks old golden laced Wyandotte looks much different than "her" siblings. The others have bushy bums and shorter bushier tail feathers. This one has a longer neck, red face, and long tail feathers with the tail feather on top being slightly longer. Could this be a cockerel, or just a special looking hen?

We bought her from a local feed store as a Golden Laced Wyandotte but who knows, she might be something else. I don't know enough to really tell.

It's hard to tell from that picture, but she looks more like a dark Cornish than a GLW.

I agree, here is a pic of one of my GLW at 13 weeks!

She FOR SURE is not a GLW. She may very well be a hatchery quality dark Cornish although she's a little finely built for that????

It's hard to get them to pose. But the one in the back has a bushier neck and shorter tail feathers. The one in the front is the one I posted pictures from earlier. Could one be a roo or are they just uniquely different?
