Good Afternoon from Orkney

Hello,

We live in Orkney which is a group of islands to the north of Scotland in the UK. We keep chickens (La Bresse Galoise, Vorwerk and Cochins), White Danish Geese and Cayuga ducks. Since we live on a small island there are no natural predators here except for the occasional sea eagle, so we don't face many of the problems poultry keepers experience in other parts of the world.

We're looking forward to joining in the discussions as much as possible.

Thanks, its certainly different to a lot of places and its pretty much ideal for poultry keeping. The island where we live used to be known for its egg production but unfortunately a particularly bad storm hit some years ago and blew most of the coops and the birds out to sea.
