Good breeds for North Carolina

Looking for advice on the best chicken breeds for North Carolina.I have breeds that seem ok in one season but not the other.Is there a breed that does well winter and summer?

I have some Cuckoo Maran's that have done great here. During the winter, when we had the snow & ice storms, I would half to force them in the coop at night. Otherwise they would just roost on top & be just fine. They also handle the summers here very well.
