And I’m kind of partial to “Goon 2”, the black and white one. I’m still stubbornly determined to believe that she is female. She’s more petite/compact than “Goon 1”, she trills constantly, and she’s the lowest ranking duck with no aggressive tendencies whatsoever. Daphne is also doing well, and is very happy with her ‘Scovy mates. I’m still going to have to add at least a couple of ducks, but I’m procrastinating as everyone is currently happy and healthy and I don’t want to rock the boat.

For those who haven’t seen their pictures, Daphne is my adult Rouen, Goon 1 is the white Muscovy probable drake, and Goon 2 is the black/white Muscovy.

Yes, the picture of all 3 is horrible quality-wise, but it shows their relative sizes.

Oh, and I thought that black cats were hard to photograph. It turns out that white ducks aren’t exactly easy either!

They are gorgeous. And looks like they are a nice little flock too. Any problems with them being able to communicate with each other?

There don’t seem to be any issues. Daphne takes the lead and will quack to get the Goons to come to her if they’ve wandered too far (to do secret Muscovy things) and they listen. Goon 2 and Daphne chatter to each other quite a bit and they seem to understand each other. And everyone seems to understand that a quick nip means “you’re in my way!”. Daphne lets Goon 1 groom her a bit. She doesn’t seem to mind that they are Muscovies.

That’s so sweet so Muscovys can live with other breeds and live happily. MyMuscovys are so into themselves it’s all they have known until 2016 I let my Muscovys hatch some Runners and Buffs they are are living together fine they just stay in their own groups. Don’t socialize at all except for 1 of My a scovy females who was one of the mothers to the ducklings she likes to still hang out with the Runners and Buffs always has.
