Hey MLyd, I think you remember the hatchling that one of my geese nibbled too much and it died. First time mum. Too keen. And another one that i took the gosling away because she was frightened of it! Alien being coming out of her precious egg! First time mum. Scared stiff! haha. But they both adopted the goslings back again, and have been great mums since.

Yes I do livin and think it's worth mentioning when we see those with new mama geese sitting may just avert heartache. Yours had a happy ending which makes it all worth while!

Darn! I went into the geese's shed and there was an egg in the nest! Unfortunately it belonged to a Speckled Sussex. What a let down!
