Maybe its the good one ill cross my fingers. Finally threw out the 5 that was left in the nest didnt try after i found the gosling left behind the other day. 3 were developed 2 were bombs. One was a fully developed very pied pure chinese, it would have had a full white ring around its neck more pied than Stormy.

Instead of a harley for mine its hunting gear he has a whole bedroom full of stuff that he was only able to use when we lived in Colorado.

I sure hope you get some goslings from them. Have you had any of the embden/toulouse cross before? I hate throwing out eggs that were sat on. My white chinese tried going broody when Maggie did, with 8 eggs she came off after two weeks only one had a gosling in it. She was young i shouldnt have let her try. She seems to hate goslings anyway. I hope some start veining by the time you candle again. Id love to see what they produce.

Had an attack, lost 3 white goslings out of Stormy's group last night. Thank goodness i had them seperated pieds on one side whites on the other might have lost more. Was an opossum stupid thing got himself caught in the wire he pulled off. Hangin upside down by his tail and a back leg, made him easy to shoot. Still have my little "Outtie" baby and my blue eyed babies. I feel bad for the 3 i lost though ill miss them. I hate pests makes me want to set traps all over to thin them out.

I have more attacks this time of year than any other. All the raccoons and possums come in to my fruit trees then get bored and eat eggs, pluck chickens or kill. Time to move Stormy and her siblings to the big brooding house, solid walls and one door. Plus no carrying to the play pen.

This time of year predators are at the worst at getting into pens and killing birds. 8 do you have all your geese penned at night? I know I do. We have even put hardware clothe around the bottom on the bi dog kennels we have. We have tarps on the top but under the tar we have wire all on the top so they can not get into the geese. Now we have it around all but two pen now and need to finish those before winter hits.


Gf I hope Emma has nothing serious. Have you given her extra calcium from laying eggs? I always put my females and gander onto the multiflock and put walmarts Patio, Porch and deck shelled nuts. The is also a Nuts and Berries mix I give also. My gosh do they love the nuts and it gives extra calcium to them for the bones....
