GOOSE BREEDING THREAD - for breeding, incubating, hatching and rearing.

Hi Miss Henny Penny.

Very glad to see you and thanks for showing pics. You wound up with a beautiful pair of geese and I expect their babies will be adorable!

I have a pair of Sebs, 2-3 years old, and 2 Toulouse and 2 Buffs who are 5 months old. The 4 younger ones jump in the kiddy pool, but the 2 adults used to, but don't anymore even when the others are not there. I wonder why?

They probely do from time to time but won't
go all the time maybe coz the little ones are bossy to them or too hyper.
When mating season comes they will be in there 24/7 ;)

What happens here is Missy Sams mate who is totally devoted to her 2 goslings that she has adopted, gets into the pool with them, then after the 3 have swam and splashed and acted nutty and get out, then Sam our gander gets in and has his bath, right now Him and Missy don't get in the pool together.

One of my yearling Pilgrim-type geese with her one gosling that I let her hatch (the smaller one), and 4 that she´s adopted. She´s a great little goose. Super attentive to her babies and really good with me interfering. The two older ones imprinted on me for the first week, but now she looks after them. :)
