GOOSE BREEDING THREAD - for breeding, incubating, hatching and rearing.

They see you as their other mother. lol
Yes, at the moment they still do, but they´re not as needy as they were. they´re getting to be quite happy with auntie down there! At first, they´d run up to the fence every time I went near it, but now they wait and see if I´m going to come up to them. Otherwise, they look, and get on with their business of cropping the grass....that´s when they´re in their pen. When they´re out they come up.....they still come to call, too....

That's so sweet, goslings are just so different than ducklings. Both are adorable but gozzies seem to be much more out going.
Even though my 2 have been with Sam and Missy a good while now every morning when I let them out they have to chatter away at me to tell me all that's been going on during the night, then of course Sam has to get involved and try and keep me and them separated.

Do you know, I´ve noticed that the ganders even try to get in between the goose and the goslings! They´re so infatuated with them!

That is so true and after many years I still find it funny but it is great to read someone else wright about every time so enjoy your gaggle ........
You´re so right, I´ve kept geese for a few ayears now, and everytime they have goslings I find them enchanting. Not just the goslings, but the whole goose family life and how they are...wonderful to watch them.

Splash! The two geese and their goslings were having a wonderful time having a crazy 5 minutes in the pool, but I only managed to get a shot of the goslings making a splash! You can see the water´s quite agitated

They are so precious, I love the way mamas get all excited when the goslings start swimming around, Missy will join right in with the fun here. I'm sure yours do too. Thanks for sharing pics.
