Me too it is so cute, great pics 8... Congrats on all your new babies!!!

Have 4 external pips on my Dewlap eggs ~ I see beaks & know their sexes on 3 of my Trio's & an African is colored, so no white, one african left to try for a white .
Rest lookin GREAT !

Sorry none of the african eggs hatched out white. I too am bummed about that and will be sure to separate my whites next year. Congrats on the dewlaps!!

More Afro pics caught them in the feeding area again cleaning up leftovers from lunch. Caught all them drinking Someone had played in the water pan today. Naughty babies got it dirty.
And two surprise chicks in the barn.

Okay day 8 and nothing in Missy's eggs, but one is very dark inside and can't see anything veining or nothing, my flash light is an LED So do I just keep waiting maybe candle again mid week? I am going to be so sad if they don't get nothing, I can't even give her Muscovy eggs because that would mean she'd have to sit 35-37 more days on top of these 8.

Id try candling again later. Like i said before the one the chicken had never showed any signs of being good. I sure hope you get some goslings. Incubating some is ok but after seeing it done naturally theres nothing better. I dont think ill ever incubate goose eggs myself again. I like watching them follow momma around.
I'll candle mid week, just concerned about the one that is dark thinking it may not be any good and may explode. It' doesn't smell yet though. It's really going to be sad having to take these eggs away if they are not any good.

Id be worried about that one also. Do you think that maybe its too hot where you are for them to develope? Have you had problems with Missys eggs before?
Not that hot here, 78 with 40% humidity and they have real good ventilation in their house. This is Missy's first time to lay she was 1 yr in April. Sam is 6 yrs old. not sure if he isn't fertile anymore, of course I don't know if he ever was since he never had a goose to mate with till this past Jan. Since she laid 60 eggs total from Jan 31 st till just recently most I took away from her because when my duck sat on Missy's eggs for 2 weeks and nothing happened I felt it wasn't a good likely hood she would have any goslings this year, then we were hoping she would go broody so she'd stop laying I was beginning to worry for her health, So I left these eggs instead of taking them, they mated everyday sometimes 2X a day up until she went broody. I know of no one in my area who has geese and most likely there wouldn't be any gosling this time of year anyway.
