GOOSE BREEDING THREAD - for breeding, incubating, hatching and rearing.

Well, this artificial momma doesn´t go running every time they squeak! Unlike the real one!
I went down twice last night to see how they were, and not a sign of them... all snuggled up in the goose´s feathers. This morning out they came, eating.....running about, back to the goose feathers...etc. Well, this artificial momma went down to give them more food.
I´ve definitely been demoted now to the food lady! The first gosling, which has been with me for a week, did start to follow me away but after about a foot it changed its mind and went back to the others. Good job. I´m very pleased. Goose-raised but hand-tame. Should make some nice geese, like the older 6...I can stroke them,pick them up if I want, they know my voice, but the parents look after them! Yess!!! Best of both worlds.

Oh, I lose so much time with them!! It´s such a nuisance that I have a hubby and son that want feeding too!!

And you´ll have your own brood next year to be watching over, I´m sure!! I´ll be looking forward to pics of them!
Do you think you´ll let the geese try to produce their own again, or do you plan to get some eggs from someone else? Or both?

Sounds like a soap opera or remember "and what about Naomi?" well I guess I just dated myself. Misty is Missy just a mis spell. lol And I bet Johnny Matis did have a goose, and I believe you just dated your self too AF [artificial mama]
