My geese were supposed to arrive today also, from Ideal. I noticed someone else's arrived yesterday, and here I sit again with nothing. I am starting to get really irratated with the Detroit P.O. because as far as I can tell, they seem to be hung up there.

So, instead I am going to sit here and watch MissPrissy's goslings hatch!!

I just went up and looked. One baby is about 2/3 out of the shell. I whistle and talk to it and it wiggles and pushes a little more against the shell. When I stop it gets still and quiet. The peeps are not as loud as my last chicken eggs but the 2 are peeping.

The 2nd to pip is the first to hatch!

I see yellowing in the fluff now!

Will ya'll laugh at me if I tell you cried watching this baby be born into the world?

Congratulations !

(I have the same thermometer/hygrometer as you for my incubator and I love it !)

What a beautiful baby!

I fully expect to cry when my first ever hatchlings arrive. How could anyone NOT cry after waiting and tending so long, and then seeing those sweet helpless babies!!!

WOW!!! I have never seen a newborn goose. The miracle of birth is just that.... a MIRACLE. I am always amazed when I don't cry when my babies are being born!

...after fussing over them for - how long now??? - of COURSE you're going to cry!
