Goose Incubation & Hatching Guide - Completed!!!!

Pics
Ive read that twice now thankyou. Its internally pipped! Wish id checked last night. Honestly ive had it out twice now, wish id just waited poor thing.
If internally pipped then it's progressing, just keep it in the bator now so when it externally pips the membrane doesn't dry out. Did you go on the Quail thread and ask about humidity?https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/48/quail

I didnt but research on this site told me that high humidity can harm even early eggs. Im hoping this gosling can externally pip at 50% ...anyone hatched at 50 humidity?

I would think even 50 is too high for quail, but I haven't tried quail yet. Do you have something else you could put the goose egg in? I have seen successful hatches on here in as little as a glass dish under a heat lamp. Cover with saran wrap, poke some holes in the plastic for ventilation, add some water? That a tough decision, and I really dont know what I would do. But I feel like the goose needs more humidity. Best of luck to you.

Reread what Pete says about making the safe hole too. And maybe PM psue she is very experienced at hatching geese in bators.

I see after what length of time should i consider this option? (making hole)
No 50% is spot on for quail i hatch twice a month. I dont really want to disturb it too much, as i know the chick could get shrink wrapped.. maybe i could place a wet paper towel on the pointed end of egg for humidity, although the egg is touching the drip material in my brinsea advance 20 ext humidity pump incubator. Time will tell i guess.

Looking at this info I'd go by what Pete is saying how long has gosling be internally pipped now?

First page of this thread Pete talks about making the safe hole and when to consider doing it  down in the hatching section.
