Songster
Fez will be 14 weeks old on Tuesday and is a gorgeous dark cinnamon buff cochin. His feather colouring is quite solid with no undesirable patches of white, and he has beautiful full feathering down his legs and feet.
He's been great so far with humans including my two toddlers who help with the chickens every day, but he is being too aggressive with my other chickens and the rest of the flock is quite upset with him so he has to find a new home unfortunately.
At present he is not crowing but that may be because he is with a few more dominant roosters. Cochins are known though for their docile nature and sometimes don't crow loudly or at all!
He'd make a beautiful father for breeding, or could be a great pet (and he's big and fluffy!) but I don't trust him with my delicate hens and we have other more attentive roosters already doing a fine job of protecting the flock. I'm not ready to start keeping roosters separately for breeding yet, but if I was I'd keep him because he's beautiful.
He comes from a loving home with a mixed flock and a beautiful spacious coop where he has been hand raised since he was a few days old - he's been spoiled rotten from the start!
He was a curious and sassy chick, known back then as Gladys (because he was sold to me as a pullet!)
