Miss Lydia.. depending on the temperatures your having she may not need to be on the nest much. The eggs just need to average close to 99.Went in to clean Missy and Sams house and saw # 18 laying out from under it's cover of shavings nasty as all get out so decided to bring it in to test for fertility, now Missy has not been brooding she may go in for an hour once a day and she does sit on them at night, some days she isn't in there at all. but when I opened this egg up ya'll it had veins so it had started to develop. I thought they had to be brooding 24/7 before they started to develop. It did make me feel badly. She laid #27 this morning before daylight. so she laid 2 eggs a day apart.
