Thanks, Patti. She has the sweetest personality to match those big doe eyes. I'm quite enchanted by her.
Congrats on fertile eggs developing!! Don't feel bad. She has plenty more eggs to sit on and hatch out. And FYI, depending on your daytime temps, she may not need to sit on them long to get them to cooking temp and then if she has her nest built up well, the eggs will retain temp for a while without her sitting on them.

Congrats!!! I'm about ready to kill my Canada gander as he is bullying all of my birds and taking over their favorite part of the pasture. And based on the timing, the goose is still is laying mode and hasn't yet gone broody.
Sorry to hear about the one gosling, but congrats on saving your other gosling!!!! Hobbles work like a charm if done right away!
You can absolutely leave Dad with broody mom. In fact, I have found my ganders to be slightly more trustworthy than my geese around baby goslings.
Hope you hatch babies this year.... but more importantly, I hope your geese stay healthy!!
