Goslings of 2014 Hatch-a-long

My baby Jasper snuggling with me today.

Serv, you can use vet wrap to make hobbles to keep legs together and if caught early enough, usually fixes the problem right up.

hahaha, yeah some of our English friends when they come over can't stand the stuff. But then again I don't like Marmite, it's like black, sour syrup hahah.
I love marmite, so does my son, but it doesn´t exist here. i´ve been looking for vegemite as a second choice

but so far haven´t found that either. It´s good for you!

Lovely, serv

I'm concerned about my 8 week old geese. Their legs still shake a little from time to time, and the knee joint is very large, not swollen just boney and bigger than the legs. They also lay down a lot during their grazing time, I don't know if it's laziness or their legs aren't strong enough yet. They do run sometime and no one falls when they run. I switched them to game bird feed with niacin in it 2 weeks ago, and have been adding brewery's yeast to their water, what am I missing?
Hi starfire. If the feed has niacin in it, you shouldn´t need to give any extra, unless you discover some problem. As for the legs, they sound quite normal.

Serv...Iain and RURU are right....gotta hobble that baby's legs pronto if there's any hope of it having a normal and happy life. It's not that hard to do at all and it can literally save your baby's life! I'm not saying a handicapped goose can't be happy and live a long time, but it will be better for you and baby if you can get it fixed. Good Luck!
