Delta hatched her first gosling last night!!!

She is such a love to trust me enough to get up and show me her baby this afternoon.

He tries to crawl in my lap when im sitting down its like having a big puppy.

Yeah, you're not going to think it's cute when he tries to do that at about 400 lbs! LOL!

His momma follows him where ever he goes and then looks at us like please put us both back in the stall so i can keep track of him lol she is protective of him but doesnt care what we do with him, i think she sees us as babysitters for her lol

Thanks, guys! I'm thrilled with the newest addition to our family. Hopefully, Delta will hatch another gosling in the next day or so, so she will have a pair to raise up.

So these aren't geese. But I just got some Cayuga ducklings as companions for my injured black crested Ebony. She pulled a leg muscle when a Pekin drake forced her to mate. The drake is gone now and she is locked up to prevent more injury as she was stepped on by a flock ate the day after the original injury. Ebony hasn't quite made up her mind to adopt them, but they are following her around, climbing on her, and trying to snuggle up under her wings.

Sweet. Let´s hope none of them are drakes!
