That worked out really well, then.  Amazing you got so many females, but that happens.  One of my geese had 4 goslings, all females, and my original geese were from a hatch of 5 female goslings!
I hope you manage to find a nice white african gander for them, but then you have plenty of time.  Just try to keep Noel from pairing off with the Africans, as it´ll be almost impossible to split them later on.  From my experience, at least.....

My hope is that with all those ladies to choose from he will pick a white Chinese lady or 2 as his mate.

If you are talking about moving, its going good so far. Not finished yet. If you are talking about the incubation, thats going good too. Found out wednesday that its a girl. Both of us are healthy.

Awesome news.. on both counts but mainly wondering about incubation sounds great. now begins the buying for baby girl. or have you already started?

December 22nd... After tomorrow i have 18 wks to go.

So you´re 5 months into incubation. Goodness, so she could even be a 2015 baby! That´d be the first 2015 hatch!

Wow, you´ll have your hands full the beginning of next year! I imagine you´ll just let your geese get on with it!

Ive tried splitting bonded geese. It didnt work the females always quit laying after being with their new men for a few days.

Haha, if mine are anything to go by, you can be sure that they´ll choose exactly the one you´d rather not!!!!!!!

I bought 2 auto-sexing females to breed with my auto-sexing young ganders from last year. The ganders don´t want to know. They´re chasing around after my pied cross-breeds that I don´t want to breed from until next year! Typical! The older gander is obliging the two new geese at the moment, which means he now has 4 geese busy while the others are playing silly whatsits....

With 7 ladies to choose from he can't bond with them all. Won't he pick his favorite female as his bonded mate?
