Wonder what the deal is and everything is different, right now it's so cold I doubt mine have even thought about mating. Well they may have thought but they sure aren't trying.Breeding plans for 2015 :
1st breeding pen :Buff African gander with Buff African female and Brown African female.
2nd breeding pen :Brown African gander with my first pure Brown African female.
3rd breeding pen :largest Embden male with largest embden female.
4th breeding pen :don't know yet probably my other large embden pair.
Reason I'm saying it so early is because today I saw my yearling brown African female mating with my AfricanxChinese gander and I thought oh no they are NOT pairing up!
I was expecting breeding season to start at the end of February like every year but I guess it's going to change this year.
I'm excited but so unprepared it's unreal!
Ditto here in West Texas. Too cold to even think of hanky panky. Maybe they will all get back on schedule now.Wonder what the deal is and everything is different, right now it's so cold I doubt mine have even thought about mating. Well they may have thought but they sure aren't trying.
Hi all! Hope you had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
My geese are STILL laying, though with the cold they did slow down. I have had many people request Cayuga ducklings and goslings so I threw some eggs in the bator tonight. I am hoping for good results, this is my first time trying to incubate eggs of any kind!
I have a new puppy! Her name is Angel, but she is a trouble maker! Lol.

@Iain Utah I'd still like to get some of your white African eggs if your willing!
@8GeeseALaying I am soo sorry about the loss of your geese!my ducks are laying, but fertility is spotty, maybe because of the cold. This spring they should be fertile and I can send you some eggs if you still want them
