I thin African/Chinese??? But I wouldn't know lol.

Just checked Mango's nest, it's all covered up. But she laid another egg today! So that's two in a row, it was a perfectly white/clean egg!!! I'm going to be over run with goslings this summer.. Will Mango and Kiwi take in the eight goslings that are being shipped here? Or do I need to separate them? If I let Kiwi and Mango raise their babies will they be afraid of people?

If you want your geese to brood their own then do not let them adopt the new goslings.
If they raise their own those goslings wont be afraid of you, you are their food & treat source but they will be a bit wild compared to goslings raised by you.

If I take them away to hand raise will the parents freak out? I want as many people friendly geese as possible.

Yea they probably will. Mine did. If left with the parents they wont be mean or scared just a little cautious and will for sure be little snots when trying to work with them if they ever needed to be picked up for any reason, like medical attention for example. There is a trick to this, when the goslings hatch take them away from the parents and brood them yourself for the first 2 wks. This tames them down and helps them to see you as part of the flock. Once the 2 wks is up return them, the parents will take them back. Ive done this with mine and had better behaved goslings. A member on here mentioned that they did that with theirs, thats why i tried it. It worked.

Alright that'll work! My eight geese in the mail will be here the 24th, so should I separate them from the parents until they can all go in at once or should I put them in whenever they're old enough? Or should I separate them completely?
