Goslings of 2015 Hatch-a-Long

Did you take him out for everyone to see each other? Just a visit? How'd that go?

It was actually going great, Kiwi was looking down at him like getting really close, the others hung back. Lemon started walking towards Kiwi but then Kiwi charged at him with his wings out and bit onto his head he's ok now. Should I try again?

I don't know I sure wouldn't let Kiwi get close enough to latch hold of the baby. He could kill him pretty quick. When i was getting my 2 gosling use to my adults i would go out with them everyday and stay right close I just kept doing it until the geese started following us me and the goslings next i would sit down and the goslings would be close to me but the adults were very curious so they would actually come and lay down pretty close, i just kept doing this until they were 3 weeks old by then they were all fast friends and I could leave them with the adults. Someone else might be able to do it faster but I wanted to be sure they wouldn't get hurt.

I figured it out =) 25 days old tomorrow=)

Two goslings =) that's a 50% hatch rate... hope the other two start pipping.

My little duckling that was in the dropped/cracked egg hatched. Hes a a healthy beautiful little blue & white pied.
Plus he has 6 siblings so far.

Mine are already 5 weeks old and almost grown...awkward stage but grown. I am ready for more!

The eggs were given to me. These are 1/2 brown chinese & 1/4 toulouse 1/4 embden. Their daddy is The brown chinese & is a gander that i raised. Their mother is a toulouse/embden and she is 18 years old!
The goose in sitting on them is their surrogate mom.
