Firstly, we got our first egg 2 days ago! 6 chickens - more like pets, seems like we've been waiting forever... Second, our fav. girl was left out to explore on her own about an hour before dark, but we totally forgot to let her back in with the other girls. So, after watching tv for an hour or so we heard a noise on the window at the front of the house.. no idea what it was. Went outside and there was "duckbill" our little girls fav. chicken standing all alone in the dark
. Our coop is clear on the otherside of the house behind a 6ft fence, and we are totally residential - she could have wandered off anywhere and never have been found.. she's never even been to the front of the house. lucky lucky lucky!
