he's taller than my boy, but I think my boy may mature to be bigger than yours ne ne!

I found out mines a Dark Brown Leghorn- he could be 6lbs at adult maturity. I'm excited hehe!

The reason i think you roo might be a cornish is because his chest is really wide like one and the head kind of looks simliar. If your'e really curious what he is i deffiantly suggest posting a few pics of him on the "what breed or sex is my chicken" forum they got to me pretty quickly

You can just pull off the spurs, and what nice ones does he have wow. Hold on to the bottom of the spurs close to his leg , twist the spur side to side and yank off, its pretty easy.
Well good luck. Oh and you can use cigarette butts on the nerve if it bleeds, this helps protect and stop the bleeding.

thanks shay ,, imma gonna do it tomorrow, that way i might get over it by night time lol,, and ya know,, my first roo, i couldnt wait till he got spurs,, this poor dude makes me wish he didnt have any, i cant believe someone let them get like that. but i guess i needed to learn anyways,, sooooo .

You can use a dremel tool with the cutoff bit. It will cauterize it so there is no bleeding.

That poor guy will be happy to sit normally again!

wow hes' gorgeous too!!!

We supposedly have a RIR here...everyone on BYC says he's a RIR however he's very tiny...like cochin size...and every RIR i see on here looks so big...i honestly think he's a RIR frizzle mix (a lot of his feathers are lightly kinked).
