This morning we have 8 babies, 7 pips, and 7 doing nothing. I checked the only frizzle that didn't pip when I pulled the babies to put them in the brooder. I candled and saw no movement, I tapped, no movement. I made a small hole and the chick had died. I think it's air cell was just too messed up. It ran length-wise in the egg. So we have 6 frizzles, 1 Ameraucana, both from Dipsy Doodle Doo and 1 Silkie from Chellester hatched. All 4 silkies from NewChickenMom are pipped. 1 frizzle and 1 nn frizzle pipped and 1 silkie from Chellester is pipped. Will get pics soon!

I pulled one of the silkie eggs cuz it looked "odd", candled and didn't see any movement. Opened it and it looks like it died on day 18

. Count now stands 8 frizzles, 1 Ameraucana, 2 partridge silkies from newchickenmom, 3 blue(?) silkies from chellester. What's left is 5 silkies from chellester-1 pipped and 2 silkies from newchickenmom-both pipped. I will post pics if I can connect dh's camera to my puter or if I can find the wire for my camera
