Got my first eggs today! 2 Dozen!

But not one was from any of my chickens.

I could almost cry it's so funny. I've been *dying* for my chickens to start laying eggs, and no luck so far. The one "of age" is 25 weeks old today. My neighbor came over this morning, though, and gave me 2 dozen eggs from her sister's chickens.

Sigh.

At least I get to taste my first eggs that didn't come from the grocery store! LOL.

Don't worry, they will come. This isn't the optimum time of year for laying though so it may be longer than usual.
