Got our first egg

Our 17 week old Sapphire Gem, Merisol laid her first egg today. I'm so proud of her

Yay!!! It’s so exciting! We are 23 eggs in and I still get excited to find them and disappointed when I don’t. And sometimes I just stare at them and I’m like, ‘wow, my girls did that!’ It’s so cool.

Brenda I hope you read this before breakfast. Take a small nail & gently poke a SMALL hole in 1 end of the egg. Then hold the egg over a cup or dish and take a toothpick and plunge it in and out of the hole back and forth each plunge will draw out a little more of the egg. When your done the egg will be empty and you will have your "first egg" forever as a decoration. My china cabinet happens to be sage green. Our first egg also happened to be green. So it looks really cool. Merry Christmas

I blew out the shell of my first egg too. It was tiny -- 17 grams -- and I put it in a small sugar bowl my grandmother gave. A treasure in a treasure. I smile every time I see it.
