But, until it arrives, this is my current setup with the new bag of FL sitting in a pan of non-food grade DE. I don't know if it will work, but at least it makes me feel better.

I do much the same, but with a 50# bag on large dog crate tray, DE sprinkled all around bag.

Which formulation.....protein and calcium percentage?

What were the mfg dates on the bags you had infested?

Get some DE and fahgetaboutit.

Nutrena All Flock 20% protein, 1.4-1.9 Calcium. with oyster shell on the side.

I finally got my food-grade DE earth today and probably mixed in enough to deter fourteen generations of mites. Here's hoping for letting my membership in the dust-watchers club lapse. Thanks again for the advice (and support)!

@aart Do you just dump the DE in the bottom of the bin and set the bag on top? I do have some DE, but it is not food grade. Not even sure where to find food grade?

I found my food grade DE @ TSC, near the Equine area just past the refrigerator, or @ least it is @ my TSC.

So didn't see them, at first, but felt them as I lifted the lid of feed can this morning.
Got flashlight out and sure enough, all over the lid inside and out, on inside and outside of can. Moving but sluggishly in the 60°F temps.
Can't see them on the white fed bag interiors,
could have come with the FR or the scratch from feed mill.
Didn't see any on the feeders, but didn't look too close.
Wiped some DE all over, changed out lid and squirted off the buggy one.
Now I'll be looking, for moving dust, once again.
