Oh I would love a Guinea but too loud for small back yard. I will get one when I have a farm though !

Guineas are best kept in a large flock. One by itself would be miserable.

No real work done. on the run. Lots of rain overnight last night. I've had a rough couple weeks mentally at work and personally from old issues re-surfacing. I rather crashed and burned yesterday, that happens sometimes and I have to give myself permission to be a non-thinking person for a day and give my brain a rest. I will re-coup this week and go from there.

Good for you. I have a hard time giving myself a day off. So much to be done!

@jeria Good for you to take a Brain Day ! I have many of those a month. And so need it every now and then. Some people just drain you and you need to step away for a while

I know I did got my peeps resting in the brooder in with the big girls just 8 or 10 birds left in the main coop

My Speckled Sussex and Polish are in half of the big coop now. They really needed the space because there are 24 of them and they are growing.

This is the end of my week off that I had planned to finish the run. Ended up coming home with a head cold last Friday and felt awful, it turned into acute bronchitis (almost into pneumonia) so lots of drugs and rest and unable to do a dang thing all week. Now it's back to work tomorrow with nothing accomplished on the run. Finally feeling a bit better. Will have to push all good weekends to get this done before the cold hits.

Afraid one of the EE's may be a roo. Will try to post a photo to see what others think sometime this week as I'm certainly not a good judge of that. If so will have to find a home in the country, I do have a few options to check if that is the case.

One of my littles tried to crow today! I did not see who it was, but i am supposed to have 4 cockerels. The one SS is much bigger than his brother. The polish cockerel has really red wattles, but the other has a beard so you can't tell without catching him. They are all out there in the run, racing around like crazy birds. Lol, adorable!

The Polish are so cute. I'm hoping mine isn't a roo as I won't be able to keep him due to zoning laws, if he would be a quiet one I might get away with it with my current neighbors. No wattles on mine but Buffy is so much bigger than the other EE's and "her" tail is longer and droops down some compared to the others. She and the Barred Rock about the same size though.
