No basement for me. I'm not sleeping with the potatoes! But a dumbwaiter is a good idea. Breezeway/covered walkway between house and garage is a good idea. Good place to clean off dirty dogs before going into house and gates at either end make a quick emergency kennel.

every hot tub I have looked at I can't "crank" the temp up to where I want it I need something like a cannibal crock pot complete with a celery brush

note the shower next to the washer and dryer that is for cleaning dogs when it's do cold outside and a place to lock mother dogs with their pups and for dirty people before they track into the house.
