Im looking forward to it getting warm enough that I can till the chicken runs up. They are so stinky

I bet the chickens love that too.

My coop is standing water right now and under that is 4in thick poop and shavings.

That's the way mine was a couple days ago. They have dried a little but boy howdy the smell can kill ya

I bet the chickens love that too.

They do after they get over the fear of the noise. Couple of my hens get so brave trying to nab the earth worms that I'm amazed I haven't got one with the tiller.

It really sucks. Best dirt I had was in detroit But they built Roberts school on top of a toxic waste dump.

Speaking of chicken crap, I’m going to try to plant some stuff around the runs. Didn’t have much luck last year.

Plant some mammoth sunflower seeds. I've gotten some to grow 14 feet tall & that was with the head already curling down. There stalks look like tree trunks. My chickens love them because it give their normally all sun run some much need shade. And once the seeds ripen the regular birds coming to get the seeds knock them into the run. Plus I clip a head once a week for them to chow down.
