Not a good scenario! Poor thing!Yeah I’m going to do that once everyone has all the med on them and recovered.
She had her pinned in the corner against the fence and was ramming her with her head. Back up 5ft and ram. Molly didn’t move.
Sorry for you my friend! Hope you will find the reason and will Avoid it in the future!Enola and a calf are BOTH dead
Sorry about your keet Cap, hope the second one survives. It is trivial by comparison, but first the lavender keet died, and i just went upstairs a few minutes ago and there was a keet on its back and it felt coolish. Pretty feeble looking so i put it in the bator. Sigh.
Amen & thanks for the extra prayers. Definitely need extra strength when dealing with my 2 monkey butts lol.Twist, I am so sorry for your loss of Ebola and calf. So sad
Granny, sorry for the bad news on tom. No wonder the poor guy is hurting.
CL, I hope and pray the good lord sends you some extra strength for your gks.
Ally, I hope your Molly gets in the mend.
Cap, sorry about your keet.
Lord, please bless all us folks, give us the strength and patience we need to deal with our trials. Amen.
Thanks Wishing, sorry that Chicory isn't doing wellhaha! It's more like the days of old on granny's original thread (grannys gone and done it). Did you know this is her second thread? ...a continuation of the first that the mods had her shut down because it was so huge they thought it was bogging the system down.
So frustrating!
Some bunnies you wantand some not so much.
Our house bun, Chicory, isn't doing so well. He is very old. are there any good things to feed him to keep some weight on? He gets all the Timothy he can eat, and I upped his pellet ration so there are always some left after he's done chowing down. He gets some fresh greens too, but he keeps getting thinner. Should I feed him carrot and apple for some extra calories? Anything else?
BLT...We are still waiting on summer tomatoes around here. Farm market today... I might stop by.
probiotics
That's a good idea if granny has to take more antibiotics.
Was wondering the same thing. Not knowing makes it harder, I think. Did you call a vet? I wonder if there are some tissue samples you can get that can be used to tell you anything.
Was the calf a reasonable size? I was thinking it might be a twin and the unborn twin had a problem.
Everyone is looking great, love the farm pictures CampAfternoon.Took forever to catch up. Pics from the farm for those without fb:

I inspected the lav am and then gave it a little shake and said ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL?? Looked more like a pullet when I smoothed the feathers? The other roo that age has red on the shoulders but no really defined saddle/hackle/sickle feathers. I don’t think the lavs get flashy shoulder patches.

Pictures & all taken? Not certain what insurance man may need for the claim. They are both in the pit , and will get a Viking pyre in the near future.
She’s a brat. She’s always doing things she’s not supposed to. Pushing the wheelbarrow over, hitting me with her feet, biting me.What a bully.
Does it make you feel different about that one? I had a dog that killed one of the farm cats, and I never felt quite the same about the dog after that.
I know. I was mad. Usually they play tag but I think where Molly isn’t feeling good, Fleur was trying to get her going. Not a good scenario! Poor thing!
