How was you Christmas dinner Twist?

yummy   for the most part the only sounds at the table were people asking for seconds and thirds, and the clatter of silverware.  :lau   Conversation was pretty much non-existant
Well if you can cook as good as you bake I'm sure it as wall yummy

a few     Sherry and Jeff were estatic about the beans.   And everyone else seemed pleased as well.   I got an Anstery DNA kit,   lots of people offered to get pliers and pull/pluck hair from the base of my tail.  :lau   I politely declined their kind offer's

And lets face it  you just can't beat the flavor of an old hen when it comes to making stock or chicken and dumplings.  :drool

I think it's more honest and maybe even caring to give your birds the best care you can and then when they are past it  to use them to nourish family and friends  rather then to just waste the animal by throwing or burying it    At least farm type animals.   NOT dogs or cats.    Also more humane then just letting then die of old age and the pain and decline that old birds go thru.

I agree, but I guess some people are just to close minded to understand this. :rolleyes:
Yes there are too many of them running arround. Maybe this person got stuck with older birds that were sick or too old to lay. I always tell people how olD mine are & I never sell sick birds knowingly.
