The Royal Sunny likes head scratches until she doesn't and then trys to "smack" your hand with her horns. BUT Rod outsmarted her and she smacked herself against a railroad tie/post instead. Happens enough she "might" learn. We were warned of this "habit" of hers by the pervious owner .

People around here seem to do a lot of it. I remember scraping, salting and beating it to soften. None of that other stuff. well, soaking helps get the meat off and stretching it helps everything.
