Ya, Til I got greedy and liked them all except roses. It went from violets to astatic lillys but they remind me of funerals to daisy but thats what I put on my sisters coffin so Now I dont even know

Yes there is. Grew overnight from 300 acres to well over 10,000 this morning. Haven't got an update for how big it is now, but the wind has died down some, so hopefully they will get it under control soon.

There were other fires as well. One was last night at a winery a half mile down the road from me. Luckily the fire station is a quarter mile away, so they got it out quick. Station parking lot was full of volunteers' pickups. I think everyone got called up just to be ready.

Then there was another fire around noon, up in the state park that butts into the ridge at the edge of my little neighborhood. Lot of standing dead wood up there from the 2017 fires. I started hearing planes flying over, and thought, uh oh, and then got an alert on my cell saying it was a brush fire. Planes and helicopters worked on it for a few hours. Word is they got it contained and have crews up there putting out any hot spots. We got lucky again, being so close to us, but the firefighters are on the job!

No reports on how any of these fires started, but I don't think it was power lines. Hope we find out soon. Sunday is expected to have high winds & temps with low humidity, so yet another chance to be without power. Hope we get another reprieve from that. Breezy and 86 today, which is a lot lower than the predicted 93. Good laundry weather.

I don't have a favorite. Tend to like the old fashioned garden types like zinnias and dahlias because they remind me of my grandparents. And mom loved sweet peas. Cosmos are pretty in big groups against a blue sky.
